Article: Software geeks trump college professors

A while back Money Magazine rated Naperville as the third-best city to live in the United States. Like a number of magazines, Money Magazine is very much into making up lists these days. I found their most recent effort, a list of the 50 best jobs in America, very intriguing. They arrived at it by weighing a whole bunch of different criteria and not just basing it on how much money it is possible to make at it. Sure, filthy lucre is important, but so are other things.

Money's best job is one I never would have thought of, but its second-best job is a track I started out on in graduate school but got derailed from in the early 1970s when I came to work at The Sun.
