Mild weather made the holiday season merry for many downtown Wheaton merchants, who said their businesses did well in December. "December was a busy time for us," said Dan Cwik, manager of Muldoon's, an Irish pub and restaurant downtown. "People came in for informal get-togethers, and companies also had their Christmas parties here." And they were ready to spend money, he said.
