NEWS-SUN STAFF REPORT
ANTIOCH - A support group for military families, working with the Antioch VFW Auxiliary is collecting Easter care packages for troops serving overseas.
Linda Webel, one of the organizers of the support group, said drop boxes are now located at Antioch Village Hall, 874 Main St., and at the VFW Post, 75 W. North Ave.
The group is seeking donations of non-meltable snack items such as Slim Jims and beef jerky and toiletries such as soap and wet napkin packages to include in care packages to troops.
Easter cards and letters are also being sought, as are cash donations to help cover mailing costs.
