Every brand needs name recognition, even when that brand is the United Methodist Church. Motorists on U.S. 6 between Morris and Minooka may have noticed a billboard that went up this month with a picture of a compass, the words "Find yourself again," and a message drawing attention to the United Methodist Church. The billboard is a local contribution to a Methodist multi-media campaign that includes commercials on cable television this week.

"The culture we're trying to reach is a TV culture. This is a new way of evangelism," said Donna Darr at Minooka United Methodist Church. "We know that people have a need for the Lord - a need for God. We're trying to reach people where they are."
