Des Plaines Super Star Volunteers of all kinds illuminated the citywide awards dinner April 26, honoring them for their service to the community.
ITW Fastex, 195 Algonquin Road, won the Business Leader Super Star Award for donating both time and financial support to various organizations, including WINGS, the Northwest Suburban Day Care Center, United Way, the Self-Help Closet & Food Pantry and the Healthy Community Partnership Foundation.
Dorothy and William Grice, who have been residents for decades, took the Family Super Star honors. The couple has given countless hours to the Central School PTA, the Boy Scouts, the Des Plaines Historical Society and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
