A Chesterton man faces possible charges of illegal possession of venomous snakes after one of his "pets" bit him on his left index finger Saturday night. Robert Urbanski, 66, of the 700 block of south 22nd Street was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after suffering the snake bite about 7 p.m.

Methodist officials did not return a call Sunday seeking an update on Urbanski's condition.
