For years, Indianapolis Boulevard in Highland has made its mark as the "pie wagon" of Northwest Indiana.
Up and down the boulevard, you can find homemade pies at local mainstays such as Blue Top Drive-In and Miner-Dunn.
In the past 10 years, the pie outlet has grown to encompass newer eateries, such as Round the Clock and Sophia's House of Pancakes.
Patrons who frequent these restaurants often know the menus like the backs of their hands, and there is one, never-changing item on the menu that is a favorite to all customers: pie.
