Stepping into Bernard K. Hilderbrand's home in Stone Park, one might think he just doesn't know when to throw things away, but he calls it his collection.
For 20 years he's collected various items, and it shows. In his living room, every wall has some sort of collectible on it as well as every piece of furniture and shelf.
Hilderbrand, a Stone Park resident since 1960, loves Christmas and Thanksgiving. When those holidays come around, he decorates his home inside and out.
"I love decorations," he said.
He still has Christmas lights hanging from his living room ceiling and more than two dozen Christmas ornaments hanging from a string from one wall to the other. Although the holidays are over, ...
