Maria Rodriguez of Chicago touches the area near her eyebrows where she was accidentally hit with the control device of a Nintendo Wii video game system as her mother, Joanna Medina, played a bowling game.
Joanna Medina was in full swing, hoping to throw a strike, when her toddler daughter jumped up and took the virtual bowling ball (aka a Nintendo Wii controller) in the face.
The 1-year-old was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she received a stitch to her eyebrow.
The number of people who are injuring themselves by playing too much Nintendo Wii is starting to increase.
