Article: Juvenile arrested on weapons charge in Joliet

JOLIET - A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on a weapons charge when police found a semi-automatic handgun late Friday night at the housing project on Fairmount Avenue. Three other teens were arrested on trespassing charges. Police said they were doing a "trespassing sweep" at the Housing Authority of Joliet property at about 11:40 p.m. when they saw a group on the parkway and street in the 1400 block of Fairmount.

According to a report on the arrest, the officers approached the gathering and identified themselves as police. Then, several in the group ran off.
