Steven Drozd, keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist for the Flaming Lips, said he felt a bit uneasy during the initial song-writing phase for the group's current CD, "At War With the Mystics." "When we first started working on the new record, I was kind of stressed out because I thought the first couple of songs we did, they were fine and they were nice, but it didn't feel like anything radically new was happening," Drozd said in a recent phone interview.
