Joliet Area Community Hospice Guild's annual fundraiser proved to be the best ever with its theme fundraiser, "Puttin' on the Glitz." More than 350 people attended the luncheon and fashion show Nov. 4 at Empress Casino in Joliet. The event has become more than just a fundraiser, it has become a family affair.
Tracy Newberry of Joliet and Jennifer Puntney of Braidwood were on hand to support their grandmother, Doris Puntney, who is a hospice guild member. Their grandfather, Lawrence Puntney, passed away in 1999 and used hospice services in his last days.
