The Yule Log is hidden and detectives will get their chance to crack the clues in two events Sunday at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.
The first Yule Log hunt gets under way at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, with a second hunt scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
It's the 30th anniversary of this arboretum favorite that draws thousands of participants each year. Rhyming clues guide participants as they try to find the log.
The clues will either incorporate or refer to trees the arboretum received in 1978, the year of the inaugural hunt. After returning home, tree-lovers can learn more about the clue-related plants by using the plant catalog on the arboretum Web site, www.mortonarb.org.
