Article: Local teen scores tickets to Led Zeppelin reunion

Dreams do come true, at least for some people.

It started one day last September, when Val O'Dea was

preparing dinner in her Glen Ellyn home. Her 15-year-old son, Kevin,

a sophomore at Glenbard West High School, told her he was entering an

online lottery to obtain tickets to a Led Zeppelin reunion concert.

Kevin later found out 20 million people had applied for tickets.

The legendary heavy metal band broke up when drummer John Bonham died

suddenly in 1980. Since then, the remaining band members -

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones - have played

together only rarely, so when they do perform at a public event, the

occasion is momentous.
