ELMHURST COLLEGE won a $10,000 grant from DuPage Community Foundation to help underwrite the environmental efforts of a $23 million campus redevelopment project. The grant will partially fund planting of a prairie garden and the college's educational outreach programs featuring environmental topics.
KATIE FECHNER, an eighth-grader, and Nnenna Ezem, a sixth-grader at Immanuel Lutheran School in Elmhurst placed first and second, respectively, in the school's annual spelling bee.
