Article: Seniors urged to register for free transit services

Officials for Gov. Blagojevich visited the Libertyville Senior Center Friday to encourage seniors to take advantage of free mass transit services that will be available to Illinois residents, age 65 or older, starting March 17.

Charles D. Johnson, director of the state Department on Aging, enjoyed lunch with seniors and urged them to register early to receive free mass transit services available on fixed routes operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra and Pace.
