Article: Weekend Yellow Line service experiment

The Chicago Transit Board Wednesday approved adding weekend service to CTA Yellow Line routes, which connects Chicago and Skokie.

For a six-month period starting March 30, Yellow Line trains will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., at 15-minute intervals, according to a release from the CTA. Funding for the additional service is from a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program grant.
