The Barrington Area Historical Society positioned itself as an Illinois frontrunner in presenting and preserving history for its community. Board members unveiled four projects during a regular meeting recently--a contest, a $10,000 renovation donation, the Let There Be Light exhibit and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts American Automobile Exhibit.
Residents can now vote online for the color scheme on the Donlea-Kincaid Historic House. The "Paint up the Barrington Historic District Contest" is supported by the museum, Barrington's Painting in Partnership, Inc., and a $1,000 donation for voting services and design renderings by Palatine's Insignia Kitchen and Bath Design Group, Ltd.
