Article: Road improvements studied for fairgrounds

The Lake County Department of Transportation recently completed its study of extensive road improvements needed for the fairgrounds project to move forward.

The costs of improving the roads surrounding the future fairgrounds retail center in Grayslake at Routes 45 and 120 came up to nearly $17.5 million.

The estimate covers 16 projects including adding lanes and improving intersections along Route 45. It is part of the village's agreement with Lake County in order to extend sewer service to the area. The road improvements extend beyond the immediate area.
