ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP - The country's largest animal protection
advocacy group has offered its expertise to Kane County prosecutors in the
case against a West Dundee woman accused of animal cruelty.
Sara Tinsley, 37, of the 500 block of South Second Street, faces one
count each of cruelty to animals and aggravated cruelty to animals, both
felonies, for allegedly killing one of her then husband's two lizards and
severely injuring the other with a butcher knife.
The lizards were bearded dragons, each about 2« feet long, owner Harry
Tinsley said Wednesday. Ethel, allegedly thrown against a wall, died in
