GURNEE - Any 11-year-old would be thrilled by the Wahoo! or
Screamin' Banchee water slides at KeyLime Cove Water Resort.
So would any 44-year-old old.
Paul Thoma happens to fit both demographics, and he thinks the brand new
Gurnee water park had lots of thrills and fun.
"I thought it was pretty impressive," said Thoma, an assistant manager
with Jewel Foods in Lake Zurich. "It reminded me of one of the beautiful
Las Vegas motels."
The Streamwood man wrote a winning essay to celebrate his Leap Year
birthday during KeyLime Cove's recent grand opening. He celebrated his
11th birthday, but Thoma actually is 44.
