Objection hearings are scheduled to be held today (Thursday) on the nominating papers of four Democratic candidates vying for seats on the Lake County Board.
A three-person electoral board, comprised of Lake County Clerk Willard Helander, Circuit Clerk Sally Coffelt, and Meg Marcouiller of the Lake County State's Attorney's Office, was scheduled to hear the objection challenges at 1 p.m. in the 10th floor conference room of the Lake County Courthouse.
The objections, filed April 14 by separate groups of local Republicans, object to Democratic candidates in County Board districts 3, 5, 10 and 20, and seek to have their names removed from the ballot.
