Karl A. BergmannKarl A. Bergmann, 70, of Mercer, Wis., and Antioch, died on April 19, 2008 at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, Ill.
He was born Aug. 3, 1937 in Germany and came to the United States in 1965 to work as a horse trainer for Temple Farms in Wadsworth.
Mr. Bergmann graduated from the Vienna School of Riding and some of his accomplishments over the years include participating in the first performance of the Temple Lipizzans in 1982, riding in five Presidential inaugural parades and in the United States Bicentennial parade with the Temple Lipizzans, a command performance on the White House lawn for a for the former first lady Rosalyn Carter and many other events.
