Article: Natale gets a Bank shot

Mike Natale figures to stand out like a sore thumb at Chicago's only pro tour stop of the summer.

Barring a major surprise during Tuesday's general qualifying round, Natale will be the only amateur in the field at the $750,000 Bank of America Open. The annual Nationwide Tour event, formerly known as the LaSalle Bank Open, begins its 72-hole run Thursday at The Glen Club in Glenview.

Tournament director Scott Cassin wanted to give the event something new this year, so he instituted an amateur invitational tournament to fill one of his sponsor's exemptions.
