Same for stomachaches and sheer crankiness and many other maladies and disasters - natural and unnatural alike - when it came to Tommy Hanus and Jared Synal. The 18-year-old graduating high school seniors each braved 12 winters and hundreds of school days and achieved perfect attendance for their entire grade school and high school careers. Synal, of Alsip, who graduated from Shepard High School and will enroll in Moraine Valley Community College, received a framed certificate recognizing his achievement.
