Article: Perfect attendance record spans 12 years of school

Many students strive to have good attendance. Some students even manage to achieve perfect attendance for a year or more. But few students can claim the achievement PHS graduate Michael Szymanski can: perfect attendance for all 12 years of school.

PHS attendance officer Lynette Dean described it as "an amazing accomplishment." After his third-grade year, Michael realized he had had perfect attendance since first grade. He decided to "just keep it going." The end-of-the-year parties for perfect attendance provided an added incentive.
