COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. - It's the game the Cubs never wanted to play. In that regard, their wish came true Monday, but they still had to make the field trip from Toronto for the Hall of Fame Game.
The kink in the schedule took another twist when heavy thunderstorms - followed by a pounding hailstorm - canceled the final Hall of Fame Game, a matchup that was supposed to pit the Cubs against the San Diego Padres at Doubleday Field.
