Gerald E. Murray Jr.

Gerald "Jerry" E. Murray Jr., 62, of River Forest, public relations executive, poet and critic, died June 23.

Although Mr. Murray was known in the business community in Chicago for his public relations skills, especially in the area of crisis communications and speech writing, his passion was searching for the rhythms of words through poetry. As G.E. Murray, he published eight collections of poetry including Arts of aCold Sun (University of Illinois Press, 2003) and Walking the Blind Dog (University of Illinois Press, 1992).
