Article: Pink Ribbon Garden Party finds hope is growing

By Meghan Callahan correspondent Fighting a deadly disease can often draw people together in the hopes of finding strength and support from one another. Diane Roth, a patient advocate and breast cancer survivor, provides such a sense of support to those around her through her Pink Ribbon Garden Party, an annual benefit that is held to help families who have either dealt with or are dealing with breast cancer. This year's garden party was held at Hope Garden, 92nd Street and Austin Avenue in Oak Lawn, on Saturday. "I developed the idea of the garden party over 10 years ago It is a way for me to help celebrate my survival, and it occurs close to my anniversary date every year," Roth said. ...
