Only 25 people have taken advantage of Chicago's four-month gun registration amnesty, including former Attorney General Roland Burris.

Ald. Richard Mell (33rd) proposed the idea -- in shorter form -- after he forgot to re-register his arsenal of weapons, as required every year by an ordinance he helped to pass.
