On July 18 and 19 the Village of Vernon Hills celebrated its 50th annual Summer Celebration "Vernon Hills Days." As Lake County's second largest event after the Lake County Fair, Vernon Hills Days attracts an estimated 40,000 people. In honor of its golden anniversary, the Village of Vernon Hills added an extra day and pulled out all the stops to bring in world-renowned performers, including Clearance Clearwater Revisited and the Gin Blossoms to entertain eager attendees.
Aside from the concerts, games, rides and attractions, the organizers also took special care in choosing their food vendors.
