The City Council granted permission Tuesday to an Indianapolis developer who wants to build a cell phone tower in a residential area of Glen Park. Dan Mondrella of Future Wireless Inc. plans to construct the tower at 5201 Washington St. When contacted by the Post-Tribune last week, Mondrella said he didn't want to publicize the meetings during which his project would be discussed.

Ragen Hatcher, an at-large member of the council and chair of its planning committee, told her colleagues she was concerned about the lack of information available about the health hazards caused by cell phone towers.
