Evanston senior Raphael Stern happened to be out of the country when he received an e-mail this summer from Evanston Township High School physics teacher Mark Vondracek.
Vondracek, known to his students as Doc V, was fine-tuning an iLabs pilot that will allow high school students to run research experiments remotely from their own computers, using equipment at major universities.
What better way to figure out if the instructions were clear and the whole thing worked than to ask teens to walk through the steps of an experiment?
