Article: New Hope to break ground for training center

By Lynda Hemmerling staff writer New Hope Center Inc. will host a groundbreaking ceremony later this month for its largest expansion project since its inception almost 50 years ago. The not-for-profit social service agency for people with developmental disabilities is building a training center where its clients can learn marketable skills. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. Sept. 23 at the construction site on the southwest corner of Old Monee Road and Cottage Grove Avenue in Crete Township.
