JOLIET - Two FBI agents spent more than an hour in the Will County Office Building on Wednesday morning as part of an investigation into an elected official.
That person seems to be Will County Executive Larry Walsh. Matt Ryan, his chief of staff, also is part of the probe, sources say.
At 9:45 a.m., Chicago agent Joseph Basile and another man walked into the offices of Will County Auditor Steve Weber. They walked back out again just after 11 a.m.
Basile did not wear a suit coat but did have a name tag attached to a lanyard around his neck. In response to a request for his name or business card, Basile said he worked for Browning-Ferris Industries, a garbage-hauling company. He denied ...
