Article: St. Ignatius tops Young as Daley, Medina score

Kevin Daley and Ben Medina scored goals as St. Ignatius beat Young 2-0 on Tuesday in a Class 3A regional semifinal.

St. Ignatius (11-6-2) will face Morton (22-2-2) on Saturday in the regional championship game. Last year the Wolfpack defeated Young to capture the regional title.

''We're going to play who we're supposed to play,'' said St. Ignatius coach Jim Luzzi, who recorded his 400th career win earlier this season against Young. ''We didn't play our best game today, but I'm confident that we're going to play with Morton.''

Luzzi's other regret was that he had to cut six players from his regular-season roster in time for Tuesday's game.
