THE SCOOP: State Sen. Rickey Hendon has written a book on President-elect Barack Obama titled Black Enough, White Enough: The Obama Dilemma, coming out in January and published by the Third World Press.
This book is more or less a journal of Hendon's impressions and involvement in Obama's two years of campaigning, starting from his Springfield announcement to the Obama/John McCain debates to the historic victory night in Grant Park.
Hendon has a unique perspective because he served with the president-elect in Springfield and has been an avid supporter. N'Digo's Hermene Hartman wrote the book's foreword and points to the Day One supporters of Barack, who were Chicago's African-American ...
