Spring may be right around the corner, but the summer surf is already up at KeyLime Cove Water Resort, a sprawling new waterpark and hotel having its grand opening this weekend in Gurnee.
Think Las Vegas wonderland at the beach and a Willie Wonka factory in the Caribbean, and you'll get an idea of how co-developer and founder Dave Anderson spent the $135 million needed to create this mesmerizing playground in the far northern suburbs, a stone's throw from Six Flags Great America and the Gurnee Mills Mall.
