Article: City eyeing possible Elks Club sale

AURORA - The Aurora Election Commission's run at the Elks Club building could be coming to an end.

Talks "with a possible buyer" for the 82-year-old building at Stolp Avenue and Benton Street have taken place. However, no deals have been struck, according to city spokesman Amy Roth, who said other details about any sale won't surface until a deal goes to the City Council for consideration.

"It's something that's in discussion right now," she said Tuesday. "The city would really like it to be back on the tax rolls."
