East and West Dundee residents can begin to experience the Christmas spirit this weekend during the 21st annual Dickens in Dundee holiday celebration.
The two-day event begins Friday with tree-lighting ceremonies in both in East and West Dundee at 6 and 7 p.m., respectively. The first night also will include carolers, Santa Claus and live window displays, with the option of a nightcap at Emmett's Tavern & Brewing Co. to finish off the evening.
The event will host the same traditions as previous years.
"It's a small but quaint event, and we're looking forward to another successful year," said West Dundee Village Manager Joe Cavallaro.
