Article: Evanston District 65 election contested

The April 7 election for the Evanston-Skokie School District 65 School Board is shaping up as a five-way contest for four open seats.

Meanwhile, two incumbents and two newcomers who filed for seats on the Evanston Township High School District 202 Board will glide into office in an uncontested election.

Though District 65 had a shortage of contenders last week, three additional candidates stepped forward Monday to claim a spot on the ballot before the close of filing. However, by Tuesday morning, one of the late applicants had pulled her name from the ballot.
