Article: Walker earns spot in W. Illinois record book

In the history of the Western Illinois women's basketball team, no 3-point shooter has been as prolific as Amanda Walker.

On Valentine's Day, the Hampshire graduate etched her name in the record books as she hit the 134th trey of her career. She passed former Western Illinois player Deirdre LaFrance, who played for the Westerwinds from 1993-1997.

"It has not really kicked in that I set the record yet," said Walker. "I have been the beneficiary of some great plays that are designed for the 3-pointer. Threes are a huge part of our game.
