The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its volunteers and companies who contributed so much to the organization over the past year at its annual awards luncheon today.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for the chamber to say thank you," says Carol Gieske, the chamber's vice president of communications and special events. "We have more than 700 business and 150 volunteers who are active with our business organization annually."
The event begins with a reception at 11:30 a.m. and noon luncheon at Elgin Community College in the University Business Center.
