JOLIET - Facebook isn't just for faces anymore.

Businesses are entering the social networking domain that was once ruled by college students and is now inundated with Generations X and Y, Baby Boomers and beyond. YouTube, too, is being turned into a marketing tool.

As the social networking population gets older, businesses are more interested in becoming "friends."

"The mom who lives in the suburbs and has 1.5 kids gets on her site once a night," said Steve Leibforth, senior Web developer for Provena Health Systems. "It's the demographic we're looking for."
