As the recession's impact on Glenview Village Hall intensifies, more village operations are being outsourced to private companies.
Village employees will no longer be responsible for financial and accounting services or field inspections of private construction projects, following Village Board approval last Thursday of contracts with private firms.
Already, private firms are in charge of the village's information technology needs, management of the village's water utilities, street sweeping and some residential snow plowing.
