Meredith Frank's goal with 1:31 left in sudden-death overtime lifted Northwestern past Penn 13-12 in an NCAA women's lacrosse semifinal Friday in Towson, Md.
The Wildcats will seek their fifth straight national title Sunday against third-seeded North Carolina (16-4), which defeated Maryland 8-7.
''This game was definitely a thriller, and it feels incredible to come out with a win,'' Northwestern coach Kelly Amonte Hiller said. ''I am sure the fans that were here got their money's worth. I am so proud of our team.''
