The Rotary Club of Dundee Township recently held its annual scholarship awards banquet, during which the club gave $36,500 in scholarships to 15 students.

Since 1981, the club has awarded more than $561,500 in scholarships to students living in Dundee Township.

Recipients for this year, the amount of the scholarship and their high school are:

• Al & Judy Treml Technological Scholarship: $1,000 technology, Matthew Johnson of West Dundee, St. Edward.

• Sue & Ed Harney Scholarship: $1,000, Sarah Huber of West Dundee, Jacobs.

• Esteban Mercado Memorial Scholarship Fund: $1,000 merit, Christina Wika of Sleepy Hollow, Dundee-Crown.
