It could be argued that Harris Bank and its ad agency Element 79/Chicago were extraordinarily savvy three years ago when they chose the "we're here to help" theme line for a branding campaign that launched at the time. If customers were looking to banks to lend a helping hand back then, today's worried consumers surely are even more in need of financial advice and assistance as we try to weather the worst economic slump since the Great Depression.
In the television and print and outdoor executions for "we're here to help," Harris and Element 79 have never taken a heavy-handed approach, preferring instead to do work that in many instances really was -- and still is -- actually helpful. Now, ...
