Downtown executive leaving St. Charles post

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership has announced that David Richards is leaving his position as executive director. Richards, who in April was re-elected 5th Ward alderman, will continue to serve the DSCP through Sept. 30. "During his tenure, David pushed for the city's adoption of a 'First Floor Retail Ordinance' for the downtown district, helped promote new initiatives such as the Business Development Breakfast series and developed more consistent downtown advertising campaigns," said board president Sue McDowell.
