Laurel Ernest Anfinsen Laurel Ernest Anfinsen, 70 years of age, beloved husband and brother, passed away into the loving hands of our Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Aurora, IL and was a lifelong resident of the Aurora and Batavia area. He completed his B.S. in Mathematics (1961) and M.S. in Electrical Engineering (1967), receiving both from Illinois Institute of Technology of Chicago.

For 20 years he was involved in civilian federally sponsored research, both for U.S. military (1961-1967) and for clinical trials (1992-2006) at the Hines Veteran Administration Campus. He retired from the government as an IT specialist. In industry, he programmed for the ...
